4:00 pm for contestants; 5:30 pm for spectators.
$5 (pre-sale. $10 after Feb 28th) to enter, eat, and judge the People’s Choice round.
$10 or $15 (for teams) to enter the competition and a chance to be named the 4th Annual Philly Chili Bowl winner!
$5 “Left-Overs” Dance Party: Tickets may be available after the winners ceremony (at 8 pm), so join us later in the evening for a dance party! Stay tuned to our twitter & Facebook updates for more information on the “Left Overs” Dance Party.
Join us for our fourth annual chili cook-off with good people, good food and good music (provided by DJ 2 Tone Jones!)
25 competitors will get to showcase their culinary skills in front of several Philly notable restaurants chefs, critics, and beyond! 10% discount for competitors who purchase their chili products at Di Bruno Bros.
A panel of awesome judges will determine the 2013 winners. Judges include:
Jason Cichonski – Owner and Chef of Ela Restaurant
Drew Lazor – freelance writer for the Philly Daily News and BigBite Resident Judge
Joe Bernstein – son of two judges and great-grandson of Schmulka Bernstein‘s famous Kosher Deli in Brooklyn and BigBite Resident Judge
Samantha Carrie Johnson, TERRA2TABLE, Owner & MTV Food & Lifestyle Coach
2 Tones Jones – DJ and Pie King! He’ll be selling his pie’s on the 9th!
1. Complete entry form and payment (must be received by March 7th)
2. Each individual/team will cook 6 quarts of chili
3. Each individual/team will serve and describe their chili recipes to the general public
4. All chili must be made from scratch before the event and cooked entirely
5. More details on rules and discounts will be shared upon registration and payment
